  • Payment and billing information when you make a purchase (processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment card details ourselves)
  • Shipping address for merchandise orders (shared with our fulfillment provider)

2. How We Use Your Information

6. Story and Oral History Submissions

Because Black Manayunk is a public history and storytelling project, information you choose to submit as part of a story, interview, or archival contribution (including your name, likeness, voice, and personal accounts) may be published publicly, in accordance with the consent you provide through our Story and Content Submission Agreement or Podcast Guest Release. This is different from general site data collection, and we will always ask for your explicit permission before publishing personal stories, names, or recordings.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us, and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining our historical archive, unless you request deletion (see Section 9).

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete your personal information (note: if your story or contribution has already been published as part of our archive or podcast with your consent, removal may not be fully possible, and we will discuss options with you directly)
  • Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time via the link in any email

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
